While the Bikram Yoga Downtown Dallas studio is a little hard to find, (10 minutes from the Hilton Anatole by taxi, approximatley $12) it's worth the effort. The locker room is spacious and has thoughtful touches like a mat storage area, Smith & Hawken style benches and three showers.
In addition, the studio regularly hosts local celebrities, including Chef Stephen Pyles and is the yoga studio for the Dallas Black Dance Theatre - join them for class Wednesdays at 9:30.

For additional inspiration, read Studio Director and Instructor Yassi Maige's story of weight loss and healing. It started with a skiing injury and worstened. "At age 41, I had become inactive, overweight, and was very unhappy..."
While in Dallas, don't miss the JFK/Book Depository Museum. It's one of the most interesting and interpretive tours anywhere. Standing on "the grassy knoll" is chilling.
Finally, if you're into "good karma dining", avoid the Mansion on Turtle Creek which is pretentious and stuffy, and opt instead for Nobu. Enjoy new style Japanese sushi, chic people watching and a calming atmosphere.
